I offer a range of services from one-to-ones in your own home to group sessions in a north London venue. I also provide support online, so it doesn’t matter whether you’re on the other side of the world or around the corner, we can still work together. I’ll simply put together the right package for your needs, and between us we can work out what’s involved and for how long.
During the Covid-19 situation, there may be times when social distancing will need to be observed and PPE will need to be worn. In certain situations services may need to be given virtually via Zoom.
One-to-one or group sessions are a great way to learn about the process of labour and birth, birth-place choices, pain relief options, birthing positions, coping mechanisms and how to stay focused if birth doesn’t go to plan. Being prepared, is one of the greatest tools in your birth toolbox. I’ve experienced many births in different settings and following different paths, so I can help you and your partner (or just you if you’re going solo) to feel more prepared for what’s to come. These sessions also focus on feeding and the postnatal period as it’s really essential to think about this before the baby arrives.
Having a doula is an essential piece of kit. A doula gives you continuity, helps you feel supported, guided and nurtured through your pregnancy, during your birth and in the first few weeks or months of having a baby. Knowing someone is there alongside you, who knows your story and can advocate for you and give you support, allows you to let go of the thinking part of your mind during labour. Trusting your own instincts will allow you to achieve a positive birth and new parent experience.
If your birth was difficult or you experienced a traumatic event in pregnancy or during the postnatal period, it may be that you are experiencing symptoms of trauma. 3 Step Rewind is a simple but effective process that neutralises the toxic feelings and symptoms of trauma.
Sessions just for dads and partners are an opportunity for them to focus-in on some of their needs, whether that’s having a better understanding of the birth process or calming any fears or anxieties around the birth and new parenthood.
